Dentist / Owner

Dr. Kelsey Knight Cody graduated from University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2018. She completed her General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and subsequently joined Dr. Kelley's practice in 2019. She is a native of Graham County and feels blessed to be able to return to her hometown to serve her neighbors, friends and family. 

Dr. Cody became owner of Smoky Mountain Smiles in 2021. She is dedicated to providing state of the art dental care to her patients and is continually seeking higher education to improve her skills and treatment for patients.

Dr. Cody is married to Brady Cody, who is an attorney at his practice, Cody Law Group. They have two daughters Nora and Amelia. Dr. Cody enjoys cooking, baking, running (slowly) and spending time with family. 

Dentist

Dr. Kelley has been practicing dentistry for 40 years, graduating from Loma Linda University in 1985. He has served the people of Graham County since 1988. He and his wife have three children and five grandchildren. Dr. Kelley is active in his church, enjoys playing with grandchildren, traveling and the occasional golf game. He is extremely proud of his children as they have all chosen to serve in the medical field, including his youngest daughter who is Practice Manager of the office. 

Dental Hygienist

MiKayla graduated from the Dental Hygiene progam at AB Tech in 2016. She has been apart of this dental office since 2013 when she started her internship and fell in love with the career of dental hygiene. MiKayla grew up and graduated from Robbinsville High in 2012 where she met her now husband, Darvin. Together they have one son, Crew. In her free time she enjoys traveling, gardening and the outdoors!

Dental Hygienist

Janie has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1986 as a graduate of Asheville-Buncombe Technical College. She has had the privilege of working in her home town with the lovely people of Graham County since 1988 with Dr. Kelley and now with Dr. Cody also. Janie has three children and six grandchildren with another on the way. Faith and family are very important to her. She enjoys spending time with her children and loving on those grandchildren. Janie also enjoys traveling, hiking and nature photography.

Practice Manager

Caroline graduated from University of Phoenix in 2012 with her bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration. She has worked in the dental and orthodontics field for over 15 years and counting! She very much enjoys learning new tricks to saving you money by getting more from your dental insurance company. Ask her anything, and she will do her best to figure it out for you! 

Caroline has been married for 10 years to Jason, who does videography and owns/operates Cross Creek Excavation. They have two daughters, Bristol and Carly. 

Caroline enjoys traveling, eating at new places and does her best at trying to learn to cook/bake. 

Dental Assistant

Melissa has been a dental assistant for Dr. Kelley for over 33 years! We sure couldn't do it without Melissa. She has enjoyed her time as a full time assistant, but now very much enjoys her part time role! Decorating, cooking and playing with her great grandson, Brody, is top on her list when she isn't working. She tries her best to keep her husband Jackie in line, but she can only do so much.
